I am a huge UGA football game. I grew up going to the games and most people assume I went to college there (I didn’t) though my father and husband did. I don’t go to the games nearly as often as I used to, especially after starting my family 5 years ago. But this past weekend I got to go for the first time in over 3 years and had the pleasure of being with my son at the game. He got to go last year for the first time with my husband. It was a blast and he is so enthralled by being there in person. He is a sports fanatic, especially football. He also got to get Bubba Watson’s autograph on a hat, who was kind enough to sign autographs during halftime across the hedges. Totally awesome. I made Smitten Kitchen’s Broccoli Slaw for the tailgate. It was a good recipe, though I should have punched it up with a little more flavor in the absence of salt. Sorry – no pictures.
Anyway, I just received a digital copy of Stephanie O’dea’s 365 Slow Cooker Suppers to review. I am super excited. You all know how much I love my slow cooker. And I’ve always been a fan of Stephanie’s blog as many of my recipes and inspiration come from her site. This is her latest cook book with all new recipes. I will post more of a review after I’ve tried some of the recipes. So this week’s menu plan is devoted to new recipes from her book. I can’t wait! Here is what we’ll be having this week:
Monday: Creamy Pumpkin Penne Pasta from 365 Slow Cooker Suppers with a Green Salad
Tuesday: Beef Tandoori with Sweet Potato from 365 Slow Cooker Suppers over Rice with Broccoli
Wednesday: Cajun Shrimp Chowder from 365 Slow Cooker Suppers with Rosemary Bread and a Spinach Strawberry Salad
Thursday: Evening Out

Have a wonderful week. For more menu planning ideas, go to Menu Plan Monday on I’m an Organizing Junkie!
