Baked Sweet Potato Fries

  • 3 small sweet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Wash potatoes in cold running water then slice in half lengthwise. Cut each half into 3 to 4 wedges.
  3. Place the wedges on a baking sheet and toss with the olive oil, salt and pepper.
  4. Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes. Turn over the wedges on the pan and then bake for another 5 to 10 minutes or until browned.
Play around with different seasonings and spices for different flavors. For a sweeter taste, mix 1 teaspoon cinnamon with 1 tablespoon brown sugar and sprinkle over the potatoes. For a smokier flavor, sprinkle with ½ to 1 teaspoon of chipotle chili powder or smoked Spanish paprika.
