Smoky Chili Slaw
This is a great way to get the smoky spicy flavor of chili in a slaw. Greek yogurt replaces most of the mayonnaise for a healthier take. It is a great side dish in addition to a hot dog topping.
  • 8 cups shredded cabbage
  • 2 cups shredded carrot
  • ½ cup grated red onion
  • ¾ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp stone ground mustard
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp smoky paprika
  • dash or 2 of cayenne pepper (optional)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  1. In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, carrot and onion.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients. Pour over cabbage mixture and toss well to combine.
  3. Chill at least an hour before serving.
